As most of you will be aware, we launched our new three-year strategy which is now well underway with our 5 key areas of expertise: Safe Care, Culture and Leadership, Lived Experience, Continuous Improvement and Governance and Regulatory Support.
Earlier this year we welcomed 4 Non-Executive Directors to our team with expertise in improvement, governments, commercial and lived experience. We’ve also expanded our Lived Experience Partners team, so we can help you with your lived experience agenda.
It’s been a busy year for our team as we’ve worked alongside and presented at many events and conferences.
We were a key partner with the National QI Week and delivered sessions on QSIR and Continuous Improvement, and we also attended the Patient Safety Congress and delivered sessions.
I’m also pleased to say our personalised care programmes were recognised by the Personalised Care Institute – for a fourth year! And our Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) programme was recognised by a prestigious framework, approved by NHS England.
We’ve delivered lots of improvement work in partnership with yourselves – some leading projects include the Urgent Emergency Care with 34 acute mental health trusts, our MatNeo programme, and we’ve collaborated with integrated care boards on least restrictive practice in care homes and delivered quality improvement leadership development work too.
Looking ahead to 2025, we’ll be celebrating 15 years of Aqua – and working to support the emerging NHS IMPACT and 10-year plan.
We have lots of exciting things planned and we’ll be reviewing our membership offer to ensure we can work in partnership with you to help you deliver greater improvement.
I’d like to say a big thank you to all of you – our members, our partners, our clients for your continued support throughout 2024 and working with us.
We look forward to continuing to inspire the best quality health and care for everyone and wish you a peaceful and Merry Christmas.
Thank you,
Dr Susy Cook
