Advancing Quality (AQ) Acute Kidney Injury Clinical Lead

We would like to announce the expansion of our clinical leadership team for the Advancing Quality Programmes Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) Programme.

Our AKI Programme was established in 2015 and has been successfully led by Mr Ragit Varia for 8 years. We have collected data on over 21,000 AKI patients from 16 trusts in north-west England.

We are keen to recruit a nephrologist to work alongside Mr Varia, using validated AQ data as a basis to improve the quality of care for AKI patients.

9 out of 10 AKI patients present to hospital as an emergency. Whilst appreciating that this is a challenging time for the NHS, it is essential that the AQ programme remains at the forefront of patient care, ensuring we remain relevant, fit for purpose and agile in supporting providers where possible. It is for these reasons, amongst others, that we seek to recruit a positive, motivated and passionate colleague to support the programme moving forward as an additional true advocate for the AKI programme, encouraging non-participating Trusts of its value in participation, defining and identifying priority areas for improvement.

Please submit your expression of interest with a description of how you will support, develop and further the aims of the AQ Programme.
