Motivational Interviewing Techniques are communication skills that support a person centred approach to care delivery. Motivational Interviewing skills are required to support people to manage their own health and long term conditions.
This programme provides participants with an introduction to the principles of Motivational Interviewing; an opportunity to practice these new communication styles, and guidance on how to use these with patients to good effect.
This programme is ideal for clinical or non-clinical staff who have contact with patients engaging with a service.
The skills developed in this programme are useful across a broad range of both clinical and non-clinical settings, and all are welcome to attend.
This programme will be delivered in 1 day.
This programme will be delivered virtually through online sessions.
