Applied Human Factors is a multi-day programme that combines Human Factors and Quality Improvement theory with facilitated opportunities for practical application.
The programme enables participants to apply Human Factors learning to pre-identified challenges facing their health economies, communities or organisations.
There is an expectation that all team members can either evidence prior knowledge of human factors or commit to complete Aqua’s Human Factors Basics e-learning as preparatory work. Each team must include at least one person with quality improvement knowledge/experience.
This programme is ideal for mixed teams with existing knowledge of Human Factors and Quality Improvement, possibly consisting of any of the following: Team Leaders, Safety / Quality Leads, GPs, Nurses, frontline staff and non-clinical roles. We are looking for up to 5 teams of 3-5 people each but individual applications may be considered.
The programme will be delivered online in 5 half day sessions; the first four sessions will precede a three month period in which teams will look to apply their knowledge, and then the fifth session will provide an opportunity to reflect and celebrate successes.
This programme is delivered virtually through online sessions.
This programme is application only, if you and your team would like to apply for a place on the programme then please download and complete the application form. All completed applications should be returned via email to applications@aqua.nhs.uk.
